2018 Staffing Associate of the Year!

SharpLink Staffing is pleased to announce the winner of the 2018 Temporary Associate of the Year contest as John Evans!

John began working with SharpLink as a temporary associate in March 2018 and accepted a full-time position in June 2018 with one of SharpLink’s customers.

He was nominated by Lauren Dunn from Borrie’s Outdoor Power Equipment. Lauren wrote, “I’d like to nominate our employee, John Evans, for Outstanding Temporary Worker of the Year.  John came to us in March, our busiest time of year (Outdoor Power Equipment Company) and jumped right into a business he had never experienced.  After hiring several people that couldn’t grasp certain or all parts of the job, John was a breath of fresh air.  He was eager to learn and able to retain what he learned.  He took ownership of the inventory position and helped make improvements to our systems.  I would have never made it through the Spring without him helping me up front in the show room with customers.  We hired John as a full time employee and he’s continued to amaze me.  In the 3 years of owning this business, I never even felt like I could run out to the bank because I didn’t think the employees would be able to handle the customers while I was out (it was proven!).  Last week, my husband and I went on  a trip to Europe where we were invited by Stihl, one of the brands we carry.  John held down the shop which means he handled the customers, managed the service department, restocked the showroom and assisted our newest Sharplink superstar, Theresa with the front counter.  We came back to no problems and minimal catch up.  It was like a huge gift!  Not only is John a great employee, he is a great person. We recently adopted a 2 year old Labrador Retriever and we worried about leaving him while we went to Europe because he had been abandoned so many times already.  John watched him all week for us and brought him to the shop every day so that the dog could stay on his normal schedule.  He took great care of our “kid”.  We hope that John stays with us through out our journey here at Borrie’s.  We plan to train him to be a 2 cycle mechanic so that he can take over when our current 2 cycle specialist retires and to help us grow the business.”

All of us at SharpLink Staffing would like to take this opportunity to thank John for his solid representation of SharpLink Staffing!

Congratulations John!!
